Located in the upper part of the village, this lovely antique townhouse blends a modern, minimalist style with traditional Andalucian architecture. A few steps from the front door, a wide selection of tapas bars, excellent restaurants and lovely family-run shops awaits you. Add a private pool and panoramic views, and you have all ingredients for a dream holiday!
The first time we visited this property, we enjoyed a lovely walk through some of the most beautiful whitewashed streets of Frigiliana to end in the upper part of the village where this villa is located. We were impressed by the perfect location, the incredible views, the spacious garden, the beautiful interior of the house, and much more as you will discover. But how would our guests make it here with their luggage? The climb up along the pedestrian streets presented a problem! The key holder, Francisco, offered us a solution: a small, mountainous road leads to the other side of the village and ends near the house. Adventurous guests can drive up themselves, or Francisco can drive the car up, drop the luggage and then park the car in the lower part of the village.The entrance of the house opens on the first floor where a lovely terrace offers great views over the village and the mountains. Perfect for breakfast! A staircase leads down to a luxuriant garden with a lawn area and an orchard of orange, lemon and olive trees. There is a sitting area with sun loungers, patio furniture and a WC next to the private pool (5m x 3m). As you can see, the pool emerges from a natural cave beneath the house! There is also a barbecue and a worktop with a kitchen sink where you can prepare the food to be grilled.Another terrace is on the very top floor of the house, the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of a starry night or just to dream away with the incredible view of the sea and the mountains.Please note:* Due to the number of steps, we consider this property not suitable for young children.* As this is a village house, the garden can not offer full privacy. There are 3 different homes that could overlook the garden, of which 2 of them belong to the owner of the villa. When the owners are at home, they will not use the garden and pool in while guests are there, except for occasional maintenance.
The first floor entrance (street level) opens on a spacious dining room / kitchen with design furniture, though the terracotta floor and the traditional open fireplace (for decoration purposes only!) will not let you forget that youâre still in Andalucia. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, a 4-ring vitro-hob, an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. On this floor, you will also find a double bedroom and a bathroom.A modern, open plan staircase leads to the ground floor lounge where contemporary elements seem to marry seamlessly with a traditional, natural stone wall and ceilings of decades ago. The dark brown sofa offers an attractive contrast against the white walls and ceilingâeven the flat screen TV is white. A DVD player adds to the comfort of the room. A study table and chair are available for those who need to keep up with their obligations. Garden doors open to the pool area down a staircase. There is also a shower room on this floor with WC and a washbasin. The second double bedroom is on the top floor, offering beautiful views out to the mountains. There is a complete shower room on this floor and also direct access to the top floor terrace as described above. A Wifi internet connection, air conditioning and heating are provided.

We had a really nice week in April in this very comfortable in good style furnished house and garden with a spectacular view from the roof-terrace to the mountains and the sea. We loved it. The welcome was very friendly with wine and fruits from the garden. Everything was really fine. In the village nearby are many restaurants, all with terraces and a spectacular view. Direct from Frigiliana are many possibilities to hike in the surrounding and in Nerja are different beaches.

Traumaufenthalt
Ferienhaus im Original noch besser als auf den Fotos. Im Haus wurde an alles gedacht.Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll, bis ins kleinste Detail. Aus jedem Schlafzimmer bzw. Von drei der 5 Terassen Traumausblick auf Berge und Meer. Der Ort Frigiliana hat trotz zahlreicher Tagestouristen nichts von seiner Ursprünglichkeit eingebüÃt. Ein Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Ans Treppensteigen gewöhnt man sich schnell.

We loved it!
My husband & I absolutely loved the house. From the moment we arrived we were amazed by the property with its beautiful rooms, each with balconies. The house was so spacious, with breath taking views on every level, the garden was so well taken care of & pretty with a lovely plunge pool & we loved the location. As described in his ad, the walk up from town is not for the faint hearted, but we loved it as we're a fit couple & enjoyed the exercise. You can drive to the house via the back road (we didn't hire a car) however taxis did not like to drive all the way & often left us a 5-10 minute walk away with our groceries. We had the most spectacular time in this amazing oasis at the top of Frigiliana, a time we will never forget, we did not want to leave & both my husband & I highly recommend the villa.

Just like the pictures.
The owners of this property have tastefully renovated this property and have thought of everything. This really is a home from home rather than a rental property There are 3 floors, all with terraces and beautiful views. The en suite bedroom is on the top floor with access to the roof terrace. The street level has a kitchen/diner, shower room and bedroom and the lower level has a lounge, study area and WC. The garden is beautifully tended and the pool is a dream for cooling off. We spent many hours on the kitchen terrace eating breakfast and watching the sunset at night. It is at the top of the village but access can be gained by car along a back road. I have read that the road is narrow and scary but I disagree. Any competent driver can drive this route. The walk from the village to the property is steep but I certainly am not fit and managed it 2-3 times daily. I would certainly return to this property. Credit must also be given to Casitas-Select who were perfect throughout.

Beautiful and relaxing
We have stayed in many houses and apartments in Frigiliana but this was by far the best. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is finished to a very high standard and beautifully furnished and decorated. The location is stunning with fantastic views from every terrace and in fact all bedrooms and bathrooms. We really liked the privacy this house offers and the garden gives it a real sense of relaxation. We have 2 children (8 & 10yrs) and it was excellent. The house is a perfect size as it allowed us all to have our own space and relax. We love Frigiliana and feel we have found a second home! We would thoroughly recommend it and in fact we have just booked to go back again this year!

Prachtig huis in Frigiliana
Via deze route willen we jullie graag laten weten dat wij afgelopen week genoten hebben van het prachtige huis in Frigiliana. Erg comfortabel en met prachtige vergezichten. Het zwembad deed het erg goed bij de kinderen. Het zag er nog beter uit dan op de fotoâs! Ook onze gids naar het huisje was erg vriendelijk en gaf ons de nodige tips. Van onze kinderen krijgt het huisje een 10. Wij zouden het een 9 geven. Een 9, omdat de bereikbaar van het huisje met de auto, maar ook te voet wel wat lastig is. Mensen die wat minder goed te been zijn zouden we dit niet snel aanraden. Voor ons was het echter een leuke uitdaging. Voor sportieve mensen nog een tip: In Nerja kun je bij X-bike prima Mountain bikes en racefietsen huren. Vanaf de woning is het wel direct volle bak, maar er zijn werkelijk schitterende tochten te maken.

Maison originale, moderne, propre et jardin et piscine exceptionnels
Nous étions prévenus que pour atteindre la villa au sommet du village il fallait grimper les marches à pied puisqu'aucune voiture ne circule dans le haut du village; c'est sportif mais au final nous ne gardons que des bons souvenirs. La vue est imprenable sur la montagne et la mer. à noter que l'accueil est excellent. Très bon choix pour des couples sans enfants en bas âge.

Beautiful Place
Just wanted to say a special thank you for all your help in our booking at Casa La Torrecilla in Frigiliana. Everything went very smoothly and as planned. The taxi driver Paulino was very punctual... spoke very good English and was very helpful... nice chap! I confronted my fears and travelled the rear hillside lane both trips... just didn't look down! Francisco was very helpful and very informative... even though there was a language barrier... Francis has a brilliant app on his phone for translations either way... very helpful, very funny and very entertaining! The house and garden were absolutely outstanding and even came with a fully grown vegetable patch... not everyone's cup of tea but I loved it and made full use and cooked in quite a few times! We also fell in love with the village itself... its beautiful... so much so that we are thinking of making a return visit in the near future. Many thanks again for all your help!

WIR KOMMEN WIEDER !!!
Letztes Haus in der Altstadt - traumhaftes Haus, traumhafte Lage - noch schöner als auf den Fotos - super W-Lan Qualität. Gibt es was zu kritisieren? Es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine. Häufige und regelmäÃige Geräuschentwicklung durch eine Klimaanlage (?) o.ä. im Gartenbereich links. Dies wird uns aber nicht davon abhalten, dass Haus bei unserem nächsten Frigi-Aufenthalt erneut anzumieten!
